Artist Statement

 I love to work with various mediums: glass, paper, wire, paints, ceramics, and more. My eclectic use of various materials helps me to express my ideas effectively. I pull much of my inspiration from nature attempting to capture a calm earthy aesthetic. My work is often simplified and minimal. My goal is to have my work advocate for the things that Jesus cares about, such as mental, physical, and spiritual health. I find art to be an outlet that helps me process life and its challenges. My work is all themed around my struggles with physical and mental health as well as the new growth and resilience that can come out of that suffering. It has been very important for my personal journey to meditate on and capture the good things that surround me and the ways that God has helped me through tough times. For others, I hope my art will draw out their emotions and provoke thought, ultimately sparking life-giving conversation. I love to talk about my work and what it means. I hope to inspire others to seek God, as the supreme creator. I am still growing in my practice, becoming more precise, detailed, and patient. With every piece I make, I pray that I am more like God as I draw inspiration from His perfect creation and that I am able to glorify Him in all that I do.
